5 Herbs I Come to Love

    #1 Peppermint

Peppermint  is first of all so yummy and it is also beneficial to your body. Peppermint can be used for aiding in digestion. I myself drink peppermint tea every morning to help my tummy not feel like I’m on a roller coaster.

Peppermint can also help you if you have a small headache, you know that feeling where it’s not quite a headache yet but you know it’s heading in that direction.

Most of us know that suffering from muscle aches menthol helps relieve the pain even for a little bit. Peppermint has the same capabilities to help with muscles, using it topically can work wonders.

    #2 Lavender

Lavender is most known for the pleasant  aroma it gives off. Have you ever really stopped and wondered why? It’s because for its stress-free relieving properties and its often used in

aromatherapy and teas. Yes you can make yourself a cup of lavender tea ( I would mix mine with Peppermint) and you will be feeling calm and relaxed in no time. Lets not forget the sleep you will get once you introduce your body to lavender, it will be lights out in no time.

    #3 Ginger

Ginger surprised me a little. I take ginger every morning in capsule form to help with nausea, you that sick feeling in the mornings after rolling yourself out of bed to head to work. ( or is this just something  I only suffer from?) anyway carrying on.

Ginger stimulates digestion and movement through the digestive track. Ginger contains Gingerol is a fancy word that means it has a compound in it to help with anti-inflammatory effect, which may help reduce swelling and pain with conditions like arthritis. It won’t take your condition away but it might help with the swelling in your joints which may give you short term pain relief.

    #4 Ginseng

For those who have never heard of Ginseng, it is a powerful herb. Ginseng is often used to enhance physical and mental performance.

This is another herb I take by capsule every morning to help me handle the mental load of my day. It has the capabilities to help your immune system and lets be honest after covid any boost to our immune system is a good thing.

It is another herb that has anti-inflammatory properties to further help your body perform well. We are all adults here. It has been said it can help improve your libido, yes you heard me right. With going to work and family obligations that part of our lives gets put on the back burner. Well I just want to let you know Ginseng might be able to help awaken that part in you.

    #5 Ashwagandha

I know what you might be thinking, is the word English? The short answer is nope, Ashwagandha is a Sanskrit word from Hindu, wanna know what the word means? Too bad I’m going to tell you anyway. ashwa means “ for horse” and gandha means “ for smell” because it has been said the plants smell like a wet horse. Let me tell you why this herb is one of my favorites herbs. Another herb that helps lower stress, anxiety, and lower cortisol levels.

I have taken Ashwagandha. It gave me a calm feeling, not a zombie feeling. When you have that calm feeling you can sleep better too.I do suggest that no matter what I suggest or talking about please do your research or talk to your doctor before trying anything. I am not a doctor.

    Conclusion

These are my 5 favorite Herbs and if you choose to try them please take what I suggest with caution and always check with your doctor before taking anything new.
