The Day My New Phone Asked Me Who I Was

I thought getting a new phone would be exciting… until it started asking questions.

So… I bought a new phone.

Which sounds exciting until you realize something very important: my old phone had been remembering all my usernames and passwords for the last 10 years.

My brain has not had to participate in this process for a very long time.
Apparently I trusted technology more than my own memory.

So when I tried to sign into everything on my new phone, I discovered a fun little surprise…

I don’t know any of my passwords.

Not one.

I started confidently typing what I knew it had to be.

“Incorrect password.”

Okay… maybe I added a number.

“Incorrect password.”

Alright… maybe a capital letter.

“Incorrect password.”

At this point I’m staring at my phone like, who even am I?

Then came the classic move… hitting “Forgot Password.”

Now I’m getting emails, links, codes, more codes, new passwords, and suddenly I feel like I’m trying to break into my own life like some kind of low-budget hacker.

Meanwhile my new phone is acting like:

“Are you sure this is you?”

And honestly… at that point I wasn’t even sure anymore.

So if you noticed I’ve been a little quiet since February 23rd, don’t worry. I didn’t disappear. I was just locked out of my own little corner of the internet while trying to convince my phone that I am, in fact, myself.

But the good news is… I finally made it back.

Take Away From This Post

You’re moving along just fine and then something small knocks you off track — a busy season, a change, a little chaos — and suddenly you feel like you’re trying to remember the password to your own life.

But here’s the truth:

pauses happen.

Sometimes you reset.

Sometimes you laugh at the situation.

Sometimes you try the password fifteen times before you finally get it right.

The important part is you don’t quit trying to log back in.

So if life has felt a little messy or off track lately, just remember…

You’re not failing.

You’re just in the “forgot password” phase.

Wrapping up

P.S. Please tell me I’m not the only one who suddenly forgets every password the moment I get a new phone.

What’s the one thing technology has completely humbled you with lately?

Also… good news. I finally made it back in, which means I should be back to posting more regularly again. So stick around — with any luck we’ll have plenty more laughs, a few life lessons, and hopefully fewer battles with my phone.

So until we meet again have a blessed day.
