Rich Beyond Money
When people talk about being rich, they usually picture a mansion, fancy cars, or a vacation where someone brings them a fruity drink with a tiny umbrella.
Me?
I’m over here feeling like I won the lottery because the house is clean, all my bills are paid, and my gas tank says FULL instead of “Good luck, Jade.” 😅
There’s just something satisfying about walking into a clean house. It doesn’t stay that way long thanks to kids, dogs, cats, and… well… life. But for those few glorious minutes, I feel like I’ve got everything under control.
Seeing my bills paid gives me a sense of peace that I never take for granted. Adulting isn’t always glamorous, but it sure feels good when the math actually works out.
A full tank of gas? That’s practically a luxury these days. I might even drive around the block once just because I can.
Then there’s my blog, Jade’s Random Thoughts. Watching it slowly grow has taught me that success usually whispers before it shouts. Every visitor, every comment, and every post reminds me that small steps still move you forward.
And then there’s Blossoming Bins. Starting a business has been exciting, terrifying, and about seventeen different emotions all at once. Some days I’m checking things off my to-do list like a productivity ninja. Other days I write something down just so I can cross it off. Don’t judge… it counts.
The funny thing is, none of these moments would make anyone think I’m rich.
But they make me feel rich.
Now don’t get me wrong. I still have a pretty big dream tucked away in my heart.
One day, I’d love to own three to five acres of land with a cozy modular home sitting right in the middle of it. Enough room for flowers, a garden, and maybe a few chickens if they promise to behave.
And yes… my dream house absolutely needs a hidden pantry.
Not because I’m hiding snacks from my family… although… let’s be honest… that might become a bonus feature. 😂 I’ve just always loved the idea of opening what looks like an ordinary cabinet and discovering an entire pantry behind it. It feels like something straight out of a movie.
Will I get there tomorrow?
Probably not.
But every bill I pay, every blog post I publish, every box I check off, and every step I take with Blossoming Bins gets me a little closer.
Maybe being rich isn’t just about what sits in your bank account.
Maybe it’s also about finding joy in the life you’re building while you’re still chasing the dream.
And if I can enjoy the journey and have a secret snack pantry someday… I’d call that a pretty good life.
Until next time, I hope you find joy in the little things, peace in the busy moments, and hope in the dreams you’re still building.
Have a blessed day. 🌿
